Swartberg Pass_Joanna Lee Miller_Artist_2021_small.jpg
Available Paintings Swartberg Pass Print

Swartberg Pass Print

ZAR 2,100.00

Approximately 115 USD / 106 EUR Per Print

Giclee Limited Edition of 5

True Fibre Matt 200gsm. A2 size (420 x 594 mm).

I painted this painting en plein air high above the Swartberg Pass, outside a desert town in South Africa called Prince Albert. The pass is a remarkable feat of engineering, and the views are breathtaking. I was high up above the canyon, alone with nothing but my easel, panel and painting gear. I was in heaven. I worked only in oils, capturing the late afternoon light. My favourite part of the experience was capturing the blue distant hills that seemed to go on forever.

Commissions

I welcome commissions. Please contact me if you would like a painting created especially for you or someone you love. Perhaps a view that has special meaning - the location of a wedding (past or to come), the view from a favourite home, a vista that brings peace and calm. I would love to partner with you to create a painting that memorialises this special place.
